For those of you who know us, we live off of Elk meat that my husband kills when we need it. He doesn't go after the huge bull Elks to mount them in my home (mainly cause I wouldn't allow this) but he would like too. We like the meat and make it into burger and cut steaks and roast for our family to eat. We were truly blessed and able to travel to Vernal and go on this Elk hunt. I actually went this year,which was mostly fun minus the fact I had a cold already and then the running around outside made it 100% worse!
Most of my extended family are hunters and we love it when they help us out. The girls get into this and like to watch. This is Lyndsey's first year and was a little unsure at first but then thought it was okay.
My brother-in-law and his parents have all the tools for the skinning and butchering which made this a lot easier for us. Thanks to all for the help in getting this meat for our family. Mj really enjoys this and likes it that I went with him this time ( I informed him that is the reason we got an elk this year)!!
SORRY to gross anyone out. But we consider it a blessing because it saves our family much money on meat and things are kinda tight for my family with $$. THANKS!!
