WARNING, never take huband and children to the farm store when there are baby chicks present. I did and ended up bringing home 3! These are meat birds--breed for the purpose to kill in 6 weeks. The brown is a cute little turkey. He is so cute--but a noisy little turk. We already have 6 hens that lay eggs everyday. Mj thought it would be fun to have a turkey for Thanksgiving this year and the others for meat. We will see how fun it will be. The girls are aware that they will die this year, and seem to be okay with the way of life for birds.
The girls have enjoyed going to see the baby cows born this last month. One has become quite friendly with them. His name is Dudley. I am petting an hour or two old little bull. So much fun! It brings back memories of my Grandpa T on the farm. I sure miss him this time of year!!

Our little neighbors farm now has baby goats and a horse. I know, it brings back so many memories. Precious ones.
